About DSA files

A .dsa file is most commonly a Digital Signature Algorithm key used by the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE). It stores public and private keys for verifying the authenticity of digital communications. Alternatively, 3D artists encounter .dsa files as DAZ Studio scripts written in DAZ Script (a dialect of ECMAScript) to automate tasks in DAZ Studio. Less common variations include XML-based borehole survey data, ZIP-compressed Device Support Archives for Xilinx Vitis, or SQLite databases for Drakensang game saves. The .dsa extension suffers from extreme fragmentation. Cryptographic .dsa files are highly proprietary and useless outside of Java keystore environments. They do not open in standard text editors and cannot be simply converted into other file types without specific command-line tools like keytool. If the file is a DAZ Studio script, it relies strictly on the internal DAZ API. Standard online converters fail because they cannot parse the overlapping structures (binary keys versus plain text scripts versus ZIP archives versus SQLite databases). Converting a Java cryptographic key to formats like PEM or CER requires specialized keystore commands, while DAZ scripts are typically edited as TXT or saved as newer DUF formats. Explain why this file format is difficult to open or convert. Emphasize that often only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your DSA file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted DSX, DAZ, DUF, PNG, JPG, ZIP, PEM, P12, CRL and RSA files.

FAQ

If you want to convert DSA file to RSA, OBJ, FBX, DAE, 3DS, MAX, BLEND, MA, MB, C4D, STL or PLY, you can use Java Cryptography Extension or similar software from the "Cryptographic Key or Script" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

To convert DWG, DAE, X3D, IGES, WRL, JT, SKP, 3DS, 3DM, OBJ, STEP or FBX files to DSA, try Java Cryptography Extension or another comparable tool in the "Cryptographic Key or Script" category.

The DSA Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our DSA converter.
