To convert other file formats to the "Photoshop Custom Shape" file type, you need software like Adobe Photoshop or a similar tool.
About CSH files
A .CSH file is primarily an Adobe Photoshop Custom Shape file. It acts as a library containing pre-drawn vector paths and mathematical curves that designers stamp into their graphics. Secondarily, .CSH is used for plain text C Shell scripts in Unix environments or as C# source code files in the .NET Framework.
The main disadvantage of the Photoshop .CSH format is its heavily locked, proprietary binary structure. You cannot preview the shapes inside a .CSH file using standard Windows or macOS file explorers. You are forced to import the entire library into Photoshop, requiring an expensive Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. This severely restricts designers who want to use these vector assets in modern UI tools like Figma or web browsers.
To break out of the Adobe ecosystem, convert your .CSH shape libraries. For scalable web development and vector editing in other software, convert to SVG. For quick rasterized previews, convert to PNG. Drop your file here to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software. If your file happens to be a Unix script, convert it to TXT to easily view the code and normalize the line endings.

The CSH Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CSH converter.
