About C4 files
The .C4 file format usually stores engineering models, schematic designs, and drafting layouts. It is most heavily associated with MEDUSA by CAD Schroer, and older legacy CATIA V4 systems by Dassault Systèmes. Less commonly, it functions as a technical drawing raster image for Cimage, or an X-Plane scenery archive. These proprietary CAD formats are notoriously difficult to open without an active, expensive commercial license. They are strictly locked into their native ecosystems. You cannot preview them natively in web browsers, Windows, or macOS. Sharing them with non-engineers or clients is nearly impossible. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser. For universal sharing and archiving, convert to PDF or PDF/A. For editing in modern CAD environments like AutoCAD, convert to DWG or DXF. Note that 3D parametric data or proprietary constraints may be flattened or lost during conversion to standard formats.
Use Convert.Guru to open and convert your C4 file.

The C4 Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our C4 converter.
