The .BWS extension is shared by two distinct file formats, each creating unique friction points for users. Most commonly (approx. 68%), it is a Brady Workstation Label file used in industrial settings to design safety signage, wire markers, and inventory labels. These files are proprietary project containers holding vector graphics, barcodes, and variable data specific to Brady printers.
The main challenge with Brady .BWS files is vendor lock-in; they cannot be opened in standard design tools like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
