Extract text from Buddy lists and video files (BLT)

The .BLT file format is a multi-purpose extension with several distinct historical uses. Primarily, it functioned as an AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) Buddy List, storing user contact handles and group hierarchies. Alternatively, it is used as an LG mobile phone video file, an audio data file for Digital Holy Quran Pens, a game archive for Blitz Games Studios, or a component library for ABACOM sPlan circuit software.
Because these files originate from obsolete or highly specialized hardware and software, opening them today is extremely difficult. AIM shut down in 2017, meaning .BLT buddy lists are effectively orphaned and cannot be read cleanly without specific text parsing. Similarly, older LG mobile videos use a proprietary wrapper that modern media players and web browsers reject outright. You cannot play an LG .BLT video natively on an iPhone or an Android device without running into missing codec errors.
To rescue your data, you must convert these files. For legacy AIM contact lists, extracting the data to TXT or CSV allows you to archive your old contacts in a readable spreadsheet format. For LG mobile videos, converting to MP4 ensures the media is playable on any modern device and can be shared online. For proprietary audio data like the Digital Quran Pen files, extracting the sound to MP3 is required for standard playback.
