The .album file format primarily functions as a photo album cache image created by Google Picasa, or as an image gallery archive used by Quick Picture Viewer. In the case of Picasa, these files are internally formatted as standard JFIF (JPEG) images. When created by Quick Picture Viewer, the file operates as a standard ZIP archive containing multiple image files. A smaller percentage belong to GLC_Player for 3D model albums.
