In this case, the file is not just renamed but encrypted with AES-256 encryption. Standard conversion software cannot unlock these files. Attempting to force-convert them to image formats will result in errors. Recovery requires restoring from backup or using specific decryption tools from security vendors like Emsisoft or Kaspersky, provided a decryption key is available.
