About 8XP files
The .8XP file is a proprietary graphing calculator program file created for the Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus series. It stores scripts written in TI-BASIC or Z80 assembly language. These files are typically transferred between a desktop computer and physical calculator hardware using TI Connect CE.
The main disadvantage of the .8XP format is its highly restrictive, tokenized binary structure. Standard text editors cannot read it, and opening a file directly on a PC results in unreadable gibberish. You are locked into using proprietary transfer software or third-party emulator apps just to view the source code. The file is also tightly bound to specific calculator hardware models, making cross-platform sharing annoying.
To overcome these limitations, you must convert the file. Convert .8XP to TXT to instantly read, copy, and edit the TI-BASIC source code on any web browser or desktop device. Convert to ZIP for archiving multiple scripts.
Convert.Guru analyzes your 8XP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The 8XP Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our 8XP converter.
