Extract text from Radar and SAFT-PT files (X02)

To convert other file formats to the "Radar & Accounting Data" file type, you need software like GSSI RADAN or a similar tool.
The .x02 file format has multiple distinct uses depending on the industry. Its primary use is storing ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data generated and analyzed by GSSI RADAN software. Alternatively, in the financial sector, .x02 files function as SAFT-PT (Standard Audit File for Tax - Portugal) accounting data files exported by Primavera BSS. Less commonly, UK exam boards (JCQ) use this format for examination entries.
These files are highly specialized and present major disadvantages for the average user. If you do not have an expensive, specialized software license for RADAN, you cannot open or view the proprietary GPR data. SAFT-PT files are slightly easier because the underlying structure is actually a ZIP file containing XML data, but standard programs still fail to recognize the .x02 extension. They are useless on mobile devices and cannot be opened natively by web browsers.
If you have a SAFT-PT file, your best option is to convert or rename it to ZIP, then extract the internal XML data. Radar data should ideally be exported to CSV or standard 3D formats, but this normally requires the original software.
Because the format can be proprietary binary radar data or a disguised ZIP archive, standard online converters usually crash or reject the file.
