About VRX files

A .VRX file serves three distinct functions depending on the software that created it. Most frequently, it is a Virtual Report eXtended employee timekeeping system report generated by software like Vetor Visual Pontto or Ponto Secullum. In the mobile development space, it acts as a zlib-compressed augmented reality (AR) 3D model used by the Viro Media AR/VR platform (via ViroReact). In the automotive sector, it is a Vehicle Report XML file containing vehicle diagnostic data generated by Daimler AG / Mercedes-Benz systems, often utilizing ActiveReports.

These files present significant accessibility challenges for end-users. The timekeeping reports and automotive diagnostic files are tied to proprietary enterprise databases. Opening them without the original HR or mechanic software is nearly impossible, making it extremely difficult to share payroll data or car diagnostics with third parties. Similarly, the Viro 3D models require specific React Native developer environments to render properly.

To make this data usable, conversion is necessary. For the timekeeping and diagnostic reports (which are often XML-based or plain text), convert them to PDF for secure sharing, CSV for spreadsheet analysis, or TXT to extract raw data. For Viro AR models, convert them to standard 3D formats like OBJ, FBX, or GLTF for use in general 3D software like Blender. Just drag and drop your file here to analyze and convert it securely right in your browser.

Convert.Guru analyzes your VRX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted JPG, PDF, 20, TLV and YPF files.

The VRX Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our VRX converter.
