About VPROJ files
A .vproj file is a proprietary project file created by VSDC Free Video Editor, a popular non-linear editing suite. Unlike standard video files (like MP4 or AVI), a .vproj file does not contain actual video or audio data. Instead, it is a lightweight instruction set - typically under a few megabytes - that tells the software where your source clips are located on your hard drive and how to arrange them on the timeline.
Because of this structure, .vproj files cannot be opened by media players like VLC, nor can they be uploaded directly to YouTube or Facebook. A common catch for users is moving the .vproj file to a new computer only to find it "broken" because the referenced source media files (videos, images, audio) were left behind or moved. To share or view your work, you must open the project in VSDC and "Export" the project. For web sharing, convert the project to MP4 (H.264). For high-quality archiving, export to AVI or MOV.
Convert.Guru analyzes your VPROJ file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert VPROJ file to MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, FLV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, 3GP, OGV, ASF or RM, you can use VSDC Video Editor or similar software from the "Video Editing Project" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert MTS, MOV, RMVB, DIVX, RM, H264, TS, WMV, VOB, MP4, XVID or AVI files to VPROJ, try VSDC Video Editor or another comparable tool in the "Video Editing Project" category.
The VPROJ Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our VPROJ converter.
