A .vpl file primarily acts as a Video Playlist File used by VLC Media Player or a Blu-ray Disc Movie Playlist. It stores the sequential playback order of video or audio tracks. Alternatively, it can function as a Building services CAD project for Viega ViPlan, a Variant packing list in XML format for Nokia firmware, or even a CNC post-processor executable file.
For playing media playlists, you can use VLC Media Player or vanBasco Karaoke Player. For firmware packing lists, the file is often managed by Nokia Suite.
Users frequently misunderstand .vpl files by trying to convert them into actual video formats like MP4 or MKV.
