A .VPJ file is a video editing project file created to store timeline edits, transitions, audio levels, and effects. It is primarily used by NCH VideoPad and Magix Video Pro X to save a user's work-in-progress before final rendering.
The biggest disadvantage of the .VPJ format is that it contains no actual video or audio data. It is a proprietary, text-based instruction file (often XML) that simply points to media files located elsewhere on your local hard drive. Because of this, you cannot play a .VPJ file in standard media players, nor can you upload it directly to YouTube. Furthermore, if you move, rename, or delete the original source videos, the project will break and display "Media Offline" errors.
