To convert other file formats to the "Reinforcement & Analysis Data" file type, you need software like Shimadzu UVProbe or a similar tool.
The .UVR extension is a fragmented format wrapper shared by four completely distinct industries, creating significant confusion for users. Most commonly (27%), it is a Reinforcement Detailing Data file generated by Urban Vision Rebar software, used in construction engineering to store structural specifications. Alternatively, it may be a Spectrophotometer Report (25%) from Shimadzu UVProbe software, containing critical spectral analysis data often locked inside this proprietary binary format. Legacy users might encounter it as a VRML Panoramic Image created by the discontinued Ulead COOL 360, while gamers may find it as an asset archive in titles like Koikatsu Sunshine.
The frustrating part is that these files are mutually incompatible; a Shimadzu viewer cannot open a Rebar file. Users typically need to convert these files to make them accessible outside their specific ecosystem. For engineering and scientific reports, converting to PDF is the standard for archiving and sharing. For data analysis from Shimadzu files, converting to CSV or XLSX is essential. For legacy Ulead panoramas, converting to modern JPG or MP4 formats ensures the content remains viewable on modern devices.
