About UPP files
The .upp file format typically serves two very distinct purposes. The most common use is as a Unity Player Preferences file generated by the Unity game engine. These files store local user settings such as resolution, input mapping, and audio levels. They are proprietary and often stored in a serialized or binary format that is difficult to read outside the Unity runtime environment. Alternatively, .upp files act as 3D Printer Project files used by UP! 3D Printer software (from Tiertime) or certain Ultimaker setups. These files contain 3D models and the specific slicing parameters required to generate G-code for 3D printing. The primary disadvantage of the .upp format is its highly specialized nature. Standard text editors or generic 3D viewers cannot open them properly. If you are dealing with a 3D print project, you are locked into the specific slicer software and cannot easily share the raw geometry without exporting it first. Standard online converters fail to process .upp files because they lack the proprietary decoding engines. Just drag and drop your file to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible using convert.guru. We can inspect the internal data structure. If our analysis detects an embedded text string or standard 3D mesh, viewing or conversion to TXT, STL, or GCODE may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your UPP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted XML, JPG, VALUES, RESS and SCENE files.

The UPP Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our UPP converter.
