These files suffer from severe software lock-in. Because the .TXP extension is shared across highly disparate, specialized industries - from dental imaging to DOS-based tax receipt generation - users frequently encounter 'unrecognized file' errors. Without an active license for a $500+ database modeling tool or specialized medical software, opening the file natively is impossible.
