About TXM files
A .txm file is an extension heavily fragmented across completely different industries. Most commonly, it functions as a proprietary document template for property management software like LetMC and CFPwinMan, or medical reporting tools. In scientific environments, .txm files are massive 3D X-ray microscopy tomography data files created by ZEISS Xradia microscopes, structured internally as Microsoft Compound files. Less frequently, it acts as a game texture map for Taito or Starbound, or a corpus analysis project archive (which is actually just a ZIP file in disguise).
The main disadvantage of the .txm format is extreme ambiguity. Because seven completely unrelated programs use the exact same file extension, standard operating systems fail to assign a default program. Property management templates are locked into expensive, niche subscriptions, making it impossible to share them with clients. Meanwhile, Zeiss microscopy files are exceptionally large binary files that will crash standard text editors and require specialized tools like TXM-Wizard to open. Game textures are similarly unreadable by default image viewers.
You must convert .txm files to make them usable outside their native, restrictive software. For text templates, convert to PDF for archiving and client sharing, or DOCX for standard editing. For X-ray tomography data and game textures, extracting the visual layers and converting them to PNG or TIFF makes the imagery accessible on any device. Convert.Guru analyzes your TXM file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert TXM file to TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, PAGES, TEX, LATEX, MD, MARKDOWN, LOG or NFO, you can use ZEISS Xradia or similar software from the "Property Templates & Microscopy Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert PDF, DOC, ASC, TODO, NFO, MEMO, README, DOCX, JPG, TXT, NOTE or RTF files to TXM, try ZEISS Xradia or another comparable tool in the "Property Templates & Microscopy Data" category.
The TXM Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TXM converter.
