The .TT file extension primarily represents either a TradeTrust verifiable document or a Microsoft Visual Studio Text Template (T4). TradeTrust files use a JSON structure to store cryptographic proofs of documents, such as bills of lading or educational certificates. Visual Studio T4 templates contain a mixture of text blocks and control logic (often C# or Visual Basic) used to automatically generate source code files. You can open TradeTrust .TT files using the TradeTrust verification portal or any standard text editor. T4 templates are designed for Microsoft Visual Studio, which provides native syntax highlighting and execution.
Users often seek to convert .TT files because they lack the specific software required to process them. TradeTrust files are strictly formatted JSON; reading them without a dedicated viewer exposes raw, complex code rather than a visually formatted document.
