About TRT files

A .trt file is most commonly a spectrometer transmittance data file generated by Avantes AvaSoft or an optimized deep learning model created using the NVIDIA TensorRT SDK. Other uses include OpenBoard interactive whiteboard lessons (which function as standard ZIP archives) and XML-based report templates for Intapp Integration Builder.

These files are highly proprietary and restrict your workflow. Avantes .trt files lock your spectral data inside the AvaSoft ecosystem, making it difficult to analyze in standard statistical tools or Python. NVIDIA TensorRT models are heavily locked to specific hardware; a model compiled for one GPU architecture will instantly fail on another. OpenBoard files also require their specific whiteboard software to present.

To overcome these strict limits, conversion is necessary. For Avantes data, convert to CSV or TXT for universal spreadsheet analysis. For AI models, maintain your pipeline in .ONNX for hardware independence before final compilation. OpenBoard files can be extracted or converted to PDF for easy sharing.

Convert.Guru analyzes your TRT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted SRT, TSL, GFA and EBT files.

The TRT Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TRT converter.
