About TQD files

A .tqd file is primarily a DJ Track Analysis sidecar file used by professional mixing software like Pioneer DJ rekordbox and Traktor Pro. It stores critical performance metadata - such as beatgrids, waveform visuals, cue points, and loop settings - separately from the actual audio file (MP3/WAV).

The Problem: Users often discover thousands of .tqd files cluttering their music libraries after exporting a database or syncing a USB drive for Pioneer ProDJ Link. A common misconception is that these files contain audio; in reality, they are small data packages (often under 100KB) that are useless without the corresponding music file. They are proprietary and unreadable by standard media players like VLC or iTunes. Furthermore, migrating this data to other platforms (like Serato or VirtualDJ) is difficult because the format is not an industry standard like XML or M3U.

The Solution:

Convert.Guru analyzes your TQD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted ALE, AVB and SCO files.
