The .SSZ file extension usually belongs to one of three distinct formats: a Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul character mod, an Ikemen GO fighting game engine script, or a PSS Installer firmware update package. For game mods, the file is essentially a renamed ZIP archive containing custom 3D models, textures, and settings used to alter characters in the game. In the context of Ikemen GO (an open-source clone of the M.U.G.E.N engine), the file is a plain text UTF-8 script that dictates game logic and character moves.
