The .SDV file format primarily stores proprietary surveillance video streams generated by digital video recorders (DVRs) and network video recorders (NVRs) from manufacturers like Samsung, Hanwha Techwin, Dahua, and CIM GSO. These files usually contain standard H.264 video data, but it is multiplexed and wrapped inside a custom, undocumented container.
