About S1 files

The .s1 extension is highly fragmented and serves completely different purposes depending on its origin. Most often, it acts as a Bank Account Statement Report generated by legacy Indian co-operative banking software. Alternatively, it is used as a GZIP or FreeArc compressed game data archive for classic PC titles like StarLancer, a controller configuration file for Valve Steam, or an S-parameter data file for Hewlett-Packard network analyzers.

The massive problem with .s1 files is this lack of standardization. Banking .s1 files are often locked to proprietary software, making them nearly impossible to share with accountants or open on modern operating systems. Compressed .s1 game archives use standard compression but disguise the extension to prevent user modification. S-parameter files are raw text that require specialized plotting software to visualize properly.

To make this data usable, conversion is mandatory. For banking reports and S-parameter data, convert to CSV or XLSX for spreadsheet analysis, or PDF for secure archiving. If it is a game archive, extract the contents and repackage them to a standard ZIP file. Drop your file here to analyze and convert it securely right in your browser - free, online, and without installing software.

Convert.Guru analyzes your S1 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
