Convert ROF to another file type

To convert ROF Raylectron/Rigol files to another format, you need Raylectron Render or other 3D software.

Convert a file to ROF

To convert other file formats to the "Render Object File" file type, you need software like Raylectron Render or a similar tool.

About ROF files

The .ROF file extension primarily represents a Raylectron Render Object File used by Raylectron, a 3D rendering plugin developed by SoftByte Labs for SketchUp. These files store 3D models, textures, and lighting settings optimized for the rendering engine. Alternatively, .ROF files are generated as Oscilloscope Waveform Data Files by digital oscilloscopes from Rigol Technologies, capturing electrical signal data over time. A smaller percentage of .ROF files function as Report Output Files generated by ticketing software like AudienceView or Ticketleap. Users often need to convert .ROF files because they are highly proprietary. Raylectron files are essentially locked to their specific rendering ecosystem. Rigol waveform files are binary and require proprietary desktop software to view the captured signal data, making it difficult to share findings with colleagues or import them into standard data analysis tools. Ticketleap reports might be in an obscure format rather than a standard spreadsheet. For 3D data, converting to standard formats like OBJ or FBX is ideal, though material nodes specific to Raylectron will likely be lost. For Rigol waveform data, converting to CSV (Comma-Separated Values) allows for easy import into Excel or Python for analysis. Ticketing reports are best converted to PDF or XLSX. Because .ROF is a closed, proprietary format in all of its main use cases, standard online converters usually fail to process it. Only the original software can properly read or export the full data. Our system inspects the binary structure to show internal text or embedded content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your ROF file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted TABLE, CGP and MUP files.

FAQ

If you want to convert ROF file to TMP, TEMP, CACHE, LOG, BAK, OLD, NEW, PART, DOWNLOAD, CRDOWNLOAD, LOCK or PID, you can use Raylectron Render or similar software from the "3D Rendering or Waveform Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

To convert DEVICE, CACHE, SOCK, SYMLINK, PID, MOUNT, FIFO, LOG, PIPE, TMP, JUNCTION or TEMP files to ROF, try Raylectron Render or another comparable tool in the "3D Rendering or Waveform Data" category.

The ROF Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our ROF converter.
