About RH files

The .RH file is a proprietary 3D visualization model used primarily in manufacturing and enterprise environments for product documentation. Originally created by Right Hemisphere, it is now managed by SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author. The format is closed and proprietary, meaning standard 3D software like Blender or web browsers cannot open it. It often requires a costly enterprise license just to access the 3D data. Users frequently need to convert .RH files to standard formats like OBJ, FBX, or GLTF for broad compatibility, or STEP for CAD software integration. Note that proprietary metadata and animations are often lost during this process. Because this file format is heavily restricted, standard online converters fail to process it. Often, only the original SAP software can properly read or export the 3D data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your RH file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted EBMX, WKF and RVM files.

The RH Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our RH converter.
