About RCG files

The .rcg extension represents two distinct but critical proprietary formats that often confuse users due to their incompatibility.

1. Linsn LED Receiving Card Configuration (Most Common):
Created by Linsn, this file acts as the 'DNA' for LED display panels. It stores low-level hardware parameters like scan mode, refresh rate, gamma correction, and gray scale levels.

2. AppliCad Roofing Data:
Generated by AppliCad software (specifically Roof Wizard), this is a CAD-based file used to model roof geometry, estimation material, and labor costs.

Convert.Guru analyzes your RCG file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted ANOM, RGX and CCF files.

The RCG Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our RCG converter.
