Convert a file to QXL
To convert other file formats to the "Medical & Asset Library" file type, you need software like QuarkXPress or a similar tool.
About QXL files
The .QXL file extension is primarily used for two completely different purposes: a Sysmex XN-Series Hematology Analyzer data file or a QuarkXPress Library file. In the medical field, Sysmex analyzers export laboratory results, quality control metrics, and patient diagnostics into this proprietary format. In the publishing industry, QuarkXPress uses .QXL files to store reusable layout assets, such as logos, text boxes, and formatting styles.
Both formats present significant disadvantages for average users. They are highly proprietary, closed ecosystems. Sysmex files require complex Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or dedicated enterprise medical software to parse. QuarkXPress libraries demand an expensive software license to open, and they are notoriously version-locked, meaning older files often fail to open in modern software.
Users typically want to convert medical .QXL files to CSV, XML, or TXT to analyze the data in a spreadsheet. For design libraries, users want to extract the assets or convert the layouts to PDF or JPG for universal viewing. However, standard online converters usually fail because they lack the proprietary decoders for these specific industry niches.
This file format is incredibly difficult to open or convert without the original application. Often, only the original medical software or graphic design tool can properly read or export the data. However, convert.guru provides a pragmatic workaround. Just drag and drop your .QXL file into our tool to identify the exact format, inspect the underlying text or hex data, and convert it if a supported embedded format is detected.
Convert.Guru analyzes your QXL file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert QXL file to TMP, TEMP, CACHE, LOG, BAK, OLD, NEW, PART, DOWNLOAD, CRDOWNLOAD, LOCK or PID, you can use QuarkXPress or similar software from the "Data Export & Design Library" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DEVICE, CACHE, SOCK, SYMLINK, PID, MOUNT, FIFO, LOG, PIPE, TMP, JUNCTION or TEMP files to QXL, try QuarkXPress or another comparable tool in the "Data Export & Design Library" category.
The QXL Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our QXL converter.
