The .QSP file extension primarily represents a Quest Soft Player game file. These files store text-based adventure games, commonly known as interactive fiction, containing storylines, character dialogs, and embedded game logic. A secondary, entirely unrelated use (accounting for approximately 3% of files) is for electrical installation projects created by Schneider Electric.
The main disadvantage of the .QSP format is its heavily proprietary and fragmented nature. The game files require the specific, niche QSP Player software to execute the interactive narrative.
