Extract text from Scientific plots (QPC)

A .QPC file functions primarily as a Scientific Plot Composition or data analysis plot file. These specialized files are generated by scientific graphing tools, most notably QtiPlot, Origin, and measurement systems manufactured by Quantum Design. They encapsulate raw experimental datasets alongside complex 2D or 3D graph formatting and rendering instructions.
Because .QPC is a proprietary binary format, it introduces severe limitations for data sharing and collaboration. Colleagues without expensive, specialized scientific software licenses cannot open the file. Furthermore, standard web browsers, document viewers, and general image editors cannot natively interpret the mathematical plotting structures, making the format notoriously difficult to handle outside of laboratory environments.
For academic publication and cross-department distribution, users must convert .QPC plots into standard vector graphics like SVG or EPS, or into high-resolution raster images like PNG and JPG. Converting to a vector-based PDF is also highly recommended for embedding crisp charts in research papers. However, be aware that exporting to standard image formats permanently flattens the graph, stripping the underlying raw mathematical data points.
Direct third-party conversion of .QPC files is extremely challenging due to its closed software ecosystem. Often, only the original scientific software possesses the specific parsing engine needed to properly render the visual data.
