A .QMBL file is an XML-based data collection file used primarily by Vernier LabQuest and Logger Pro. It stores raw sensor readings and calibration metadata collected during scientific experiments.
The primary disadvantage of this format is its strict dependency on the Vernier ecosystem. Opening these files requires specialized, proprietary software or hardware. You cannot natively open a .QMBL file in standard spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets or web browsers to view the rendered graphs. This makes sharing experiment results with students or colleagues who do not own the software highly restrictive.
