Convert a file to PZH
To convert other file formats to the "AVA Project Archive" file type, you need software like RIB Presto or a similar tool.
About PZH files
A .PZH file is a proprietary construction project budget archive generated by RIB Presto, a leading AVA (Tendering, Awarding, and Billing) software used extensively in the DACH region. These files encapsulate complex cost estimates, bill of quantities (BoQ), and project tracking data necessary for large-scale construction management.
The biggest challenge with .PZH files is their proprietary nature; they are strictly locked to the RIB ecosystem and cannot be opened by standard text editors or spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel. This is often a source of frustration for stakeholders - such as clients, subcontractors, or investors - who do not possess an expensive RIB Presto license but need to review budget specifics. To overcome this accessibility barrier, users typically need to convert .PZH files to universally compatible formats. For data manipulation and calculations, converting to XLSX (Excel) is the standard workflow. For finalizing reports or archiving unalterable records, converting to PDF is recommended. For interoperability with other construction software, exporting to standardized GAEB formats (like X83 or D83) is essential.
Convert.Guru analyzes your PZH file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert PZH file to INDD, QXP, PUB, PMD, PM6, PM7, PM8, PM9, PM10, PM11, OMP or P65, you can use RIB Presto or similar software from the "Construction Project Budgeting" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert MDI, PUB, PDP, PM4, P65, COMIC, WEBTEMPLATE, PMD, SPUB, INDD, PM5 or QXP files to PZH, try RIB Presto or another comparable tool in the "Construction Project Budgeting" category.
The PZH Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our PZH converter.
