Extract text from Interface and manufacturing files (PUI)

A .pui file is a highly specialized data format primarily used as a Packaged User Interface for Telechips System Software, or as a CAM post-processor definition file inside Siemens NX and Autodesk PowerMill. These files act as translation bridges, either storing embedded UI assets or mapping computer-aided manufacturing toolpaths into precise G-code for CNC machines.
The main disadvantage of the .PUI format is its strictly proprietary nature. You cannot open these files by default on Windows or macOS. Native viewing requires expensive enterprise software subscriptions. Without the original CAD/CAM environment or specific embedded developer kits, these files are basically inaccessible black boxes to standard web browsers and standard text editors.
Because they hold functional configuration parameters rather than visual documents, you cannot directly convert a .PUI file into standard media formats like PDF or JPG without destroying its entire purpose. If you just need to inspect the underlying machine code or UI logic, extracting the contents to TXT or XML is your most realistic target.
This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert because the data architecture is closed and proprietary. Often, only the original engineering software can properly read or export the complex toolpath data.
