Convert a file to OFL
To convert other file formats to the "Proprietary Playlist File" file type, you need software like OtsAV or a similar tool.
About OFL files
The .OFL file format is a proprietary playlist file, officially known as the Ots File List. Developed by Ots Labs, it is designed exclusively for their ecosystem of broadcast and DJ software, including OtsAV and OtsTurntables. Unlike standard playlists, .OFL files are highly customized to reference both standard media and the company's proprietary OTS media containers. They can even contain hexadecimal "Media IDs" (mIDs) rather than standard file paths.
Because of this proprietary structure, standard media players like VLC Media Player cannot open .OFL files. Furthermore, it is critical to understand that the .OFL file itself is not an audio file; it is merely an ASCII text file containing a list of file paths or identifiers. If you move the playlist without moving the actual music files to the exact same folder structure, the playlist will break entirely.
To make this data usable outside the Ots ecosystem, your best option is to extract the tracklist. Keep in mind that while our tools can extract the file paths, any target software will still need access to the original media files on your local drive to actually play the music.
Convert.Guru analyzes your OFL file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted OFT, TXT, RXP, MPCPL and A2B files.

The OFL Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our OFL converter.
