Convert NODES to another file type
To convert your NODES file to another format, you need Stick Nodes or other Vector Image software.
Convert a file to NODES
To convert other file formats to the "Animation Data File" file type, you need software like Stick Nodes or a similar tool.
About NODES files
The .nodes file extension is primarily associated with Stick Nodes, a popular stick figure animation app for Android and iOS developed by ForTheLoss Games. These files function as Stick Figure Animation Components, storing specific geometry data, joint coordinates, and segment attributes (nodes) that define a character or object within a larger animation project. Unlike standard video files, a .nodes file is not a playable movie; it is a proprietary data container used by the software to render movements in real-time.
Users typically encounter friction when trying to "watch" a .nodes file outside of the Stick Nodes environment, as standard media players like VLC or Windows Media Player cannot interpret the raw node data. Additionally, users may confuse this format with node (singular) files used by Node.js or data exports from Geometry Dash. To share your animation, you must open the file in Stick Nodes and export it to a common format like MP4 for video or GIF for web loops. For static editing, converting to PNG sequences is also a common workflow.
Convert.Guru analyzes your NODES file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert NODES file to PNG, SVG, AI, EPS, PDF, JPG, CDR, WMF, EMF, SWF, FLA or XFL, you can use Stick Nodes or similar software from the "Stick Figure Animation Component" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert AFPUB, EPS, FIG, VSD, SKETCH, VDX, AFPHOTO, PDF, AFDESIGN, SVG, VSDX or AI files to NODES, try Stick Nodes or another comparable tool in the "Stick Figure Animation Component" category.
The NODES Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NODES converter.
