About NIB files
A .NIB file is an Apple Interface Builder UI resource file used to design and store graphical user interfaces for iOS and macOS applications. Originally developed for the NeXTSTEP operating system, these files contain archived, serialized UI objects like windows, buttons, and text fields. To open and edit these files natively, you need Apple Xcode. The .NIB format has significant limitations in modern development environments. It is a proprietary binary or plist package that is notoriously difficult to read outside of the Apple ecosystem.
