About MEB files
The .MEB file extension is primarily used as a PRO100 3D Interior Catalog Element by Ecru Software. It contains 3D models of furniture and design elements used in the PRO100 cabinet and interior design software. Another common use is for MySQL Enterprise Backup files by Oracle, or digital exam answer files in the Finnish Abitti system. The main problem with .MEB files is their proprietary nature. A PRO100 .MEB file cannot be opened by standard 3D viewers or web browsers. It requires an expensive software license to view the furniture geometries and textures. Similarly, MySQL backup .MEB files are raw database dumps that are useless without a database environment. Users often want to convert PRO100 .MEB files to .OBJ, .STL, or .DXF to use the models in standard CAD software like AutoCAD or Blender. Standard online converters fail to process this proprietary format. If it is an Abitti exam file, we detect the underlying .ZIP format so you can extract the contents. If it is a PRO100 file, you will need the original software to export the 3D data properly, but our tool can still inspect the file for embedded text or textures.
