About LRC files
The .LRC file is a text-based format used to store synchronized song lyrics. It allows music players to display lyrics line-by-line in real-time as an audio track plays. You can open and edit these files using basic text editors like Notepad or dedicated syncing tools like LRC Editor and Arctime. Video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro usually cannot read the specific timestamp tags used in .LRC files, making it frustrating to add lyrics to music videos. Furthermore, the basic format lacks advanced styling and positioning capabilities. To use these lyrics in video production, you must convert the .LRC file to standard subtitle formats like SRT (SubRip) or VTT (WebVTT). If you only need to read the lyrics, converting to TXT will strip away the timestamp tags entirely.
