About LOGICX files

A .LOGICX file is a proprietary project file created by Apple Logic Pro X, used to store digital audio workstation (DAW) sessions. It contains MIDI arrangements, audio tracking data, software instrument settings, plugin configurations, and mix automation. This format is highly restrictive. It is locked entirely to the macOS ecosystem and requires expensive proprietary software to open. You cannot natively open a .LOGICX file on Windows or Linux, and standard web browsers cannot read its contents. These files also easily exceed 100MB or even several gigabytes because they often embed high-resolution lossless audio media. Users typically need to convert this file when collaborating with musicians using other DAWs, like Ableton Live or Avid Pro Tools. The best target formats for broad compatibility are WAV, MP3, or MID (MIDI). However, converting a .LOGICX file is extremely difficult because it is not actually a standard audio file. It is a macOS package, which is a specialized directory structure disguised as a single file. Standard online converters fail to process it because they expect a flat data structure. Often, only the original Apple Logic Pro software can properly read, render, and export the final mixed audio. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, such as raw WAV or AIF files within the project's media folder, viewing or extraction may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your LOGICX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted LOGIC, ZIP, PROJECTDATA, PKGF, MP3, AIF, PLIST, FLAC, TAR, JPG, TXT and MP4 files.
