About LGP files

The .LGP file is primarily a game data archive used by Final Fantasy VIII and originally developed by Square Enix. It acts as a bulk container, storing the 3D models, textures, animations, and audio files necessary to render the game world. A secondary use for this extension is as an analytical project package for the Loginom platform, or as a transaction log for 1C:Enterprise.

The main disadvantage of the .LGP format is its rigid, proprietary nature. In the context of gaming, it is an obsolete container format. Standard archive managers like 7-Zip or WinRAR cannot open game .LGP files natively, locking you out of the media assets. For business users dealing with Loginom, sharing an .LGP file is frustrating because the recipient must install the exact analytical software just to view the data.

To overcome these limitations, extraction and conversion are necessary. For game modding, extract the archive to ZIP, then convert internal textures to PNG for editing, or audio to WAV. For analytics projects, convert the internal data tables to CSV for universal spreadsheet access.

Convert.Guru analyzes your LGP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PDF, JPG, IMS, RAW and CMI files.
