Extract text from KPP files

The .kpp extension serves two distinct, incompatible purposes, creating significant confusion for users trying to open them.
Most commonly, a .kpp file is a Krita Paintop Preset. While these function as configuration files for the open-source Krita digital painting software, they are technically PNG images with brush settings embedded in the metadata (specifically the iTXt or text chunks). This architectural quirk means users can sometimes view the brush thumbnail by renaming the file to PNG, but the actual brush dynamics (flow, opacity, jitter) remain locked inside proprietary metadata tags that software like Adobe Photoshop or GIMP cannot interpret. Users often need to convert these to standard PNG or JPG files just to catalog their brush libraries visually without loading Krita.
Less frequently, a .kpp file is a legacy Kid Pix Presentation created by older versions of Kid Pix (originally by Brøderbund/The Learning Company). These are proprietary binary slideshows containing bitmap graphics, recorded audio, and slide transitions. They are effectively "dead" data on modern operating systems, as they require the obsolete Kid Pix runtime to open. For these files, there is no direct conversion path to modern MP4 or PPTX formats without running the original software in an emulator. Users typically resort to conversion tools to attempt to salvage the raw embedded assets (images and audio) from the binary blob.
