Extract text from security videos (ISC)

The .ISC file extension typically represents an instrumentation data file or project file used by ETAP, an enterprise electrical engineering software. These files store complex, proprietary data for power system modeling. A completely different but common use for .ISC files is for video storage. Many i-Security camera systems and video encoders save standard AVI (RIFF) or MP4 (x264) video streams using the .ISC extension. Less commonly, it acts as a satellite receiver channel list (Image Stream Container) or a compressed game script mod for The Binding of Isaac.
The main disadvantage of ETAP .ISC files is that they are entirely proprietary. You cannot open, read, or export the data without a highly expensive, active ETAP license. For security camera .ISC files, the main limitation is playback compatibility; standard media players fail to recognize the extension and refuse to open them. To fix video playback issues, you must convert or rename the file to standard AVI or MP4 formats. For ETAP engineering files, the ideal target formats are PDF or XLSX, but this usually requires exporting directly from the original software.
This file format is notoriously difficult to open or convert because standard online converters cannot process ETAP's closed binary data, and they often misidentify the hidden video files. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data.
