Convert IPP to another file type
To convert IPP files to another format, you need iX Developer or other Developer software.
Convert a file to IPP
To convert other file formats to the "HMI Project File" file type, you need software like iX Developer or a similar tool.
About IPP files
The .ipp extension creates a fork in the road for users: it is either a proprietary industrial automation project or a standard code file. 1) The most common commercial use is an HMI Project created by iX Developer from Beijer Electronics. These files contain the logic, screen designs, and configuration for touch panels. They are proprietary and cannot be opened without the specific version of the IDE used to create them. 2) In the programming world, it is an Inline Implementation File used by C++ developers (common in the Boost library) to separate template definitions from headers.
Practical Constraints: Users often find they cannot double-click to open these files because Windows does not associate them by default. If it is an HMI file, you are locked out without a license. If it is a code file, it is simply text masquerading as an unknown format.
If you want to convert IPP file to INI, CFG, CONF, CONFIG, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, ENV, PROPERTIES or RC, you can use iX Developer or similar software from the "HMI Application Project" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert ZSHRC, CONF, RCFILE, GITCONFIG, RC, PLIST, BASHRC, CONFIG, PROFILE, INI, PREFS or CFG files to IPP, try iX Developer or another comparable tool in the "HMI Application Project" category.
The IPP Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our IPP converter.
