About IPP files
An .IPP file usually functions as a proprietary HMI Application Project file. It is primarily utilized by industrial touchscreen software such as Beijer Electronics iX Developer and Pro-face GP-Pro EX. Secondary variations include heating system design projects generated by Velta VBPolPrint, automotive programming scripts from Xhorse VVDI Mini Tool, and post-processor files from imos AG. You typically need to convert this file because it is tightly locked to expensive, specialized software ecosystems. Without the specific application, the file is essentially a black box. Disadvantages include extreme proprietary lock-in, zero web browser compatibility, and the inability to natively extract configuration tags or logic without a specialized license. The best conversion targets are XML for exporting tag data, PDF for project documentation, or ZIP to access raw internal assets. Because this is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters fail to process it. Often only the original software can properly read or export the data.
