In this context, it stores typography and vector-based calligraphy layouts using a plain-text JSON structure. Alternatively, it is used as a scanned document image file generated by InfoWeave document management systems. In the InfoWeave ecosystem, the .if file is essentially a container or wrapper for standard TIFF image data. Finally, it can appear as a game launcher configuration file for the NEXON game launcher, or a project file for the engineering software Procedimientos-Uno IFWin.
