About GCA files
The .GCA file extension primarily represents a Garmin Avionics configuration and log archive used in Garmin flight deck systems. These files store flight diagnostics, avionics system settings, and maintenance logs. Secondary uses include Game Character Archives for the System-NTR Filmoa engine and Brain cortical alignment data for BrainVoyager. The main disadvantage of the .GCA format is its ambiguity. A .GCA file could be an avionics log, a game asset, or a neuroscience data set. They are proprietary and do not open natively in web browsers or standard operating system viewers. Users often need to extract the underlying data to read flight logs or modify game characters. For Garmin files, the best conversion target is ZIP. Because these specific .GCA files use standard ZIP compression, you can extract the internal TXT, CSV, or XML logs.
