About GANI files

The .gani file extension is primarily used to store game character animation data for Pro Evolution Soccer (now eFootball) developed by Konami. These proprietary files contain 3D skeletal movement and kinematics required to animate soccer players within the game engine. A secondary use for the .gani extension is storing 2D sprite animations in games like Graal Online or projects built using GameMaker. Opening or editing .gani files is exceptionally challenging because they are compiled, binary formats optimized exclusively for their specific game engines. The major disadvantage for users is that standard 3D software like Blender or Autodesk Maya cannot import them directly without community-built extraction scripts.
