About FDC files

The .fdc file extension is a "container" format used by widely different industries, creating significant confusion for users. Most commonly, it serves as a Game Data File for the Fox Engine (used in Konami Pro Evolution Soccer titles) or Capcom's MT Framework, storing camera angles, animations, and scene parameters. These are binary, proprietary files that cannot be opened with standard media players.

Another frequent use is within FormDocs, where it functions as a Form Definition File containing the layout and logic of an electronic form. Users often struggle here because FormDocs files are locked into the proprietary ecosystem - if you send an .FDC invoice to a client, they cannot view it without the specific viewer software. Less common variants include Floro FlowDraw CAD drawings, Cerner PowerChart medical data, and Data Volley scouting diagrams.
