A smaller number of .FUP files are proprietary insurance claims data exports from HIIG Claims software. You usually need to extract or convert these files because they are proprietary and restrict you from accessing the raw file system or data directly. For instance, FlyAudio updates lock users out of the core Android file system, making device customization difficult. The best conversion target for FlyAudio .FUP files is ZIP, as the underlying format is often a standard ZIP archive. Once converted or extracted to ZIP or BIN, users can modify the boot images or interface APKs. However, this file format is inherently difficult to open or convert because it contains hardware-specific compiled binaries or closed-source database structures. Often, only the original hardware flasher or proprietary database software can properly read or export the data.
