Extract text from RoboHelp and Artemis projects (FPJ)

To convert other file formats to the "Help Authoring Project" file type, you need software like Adobe RoboHelp or a similar tool.
The .FPJ extension serves two distinct, specialized communities: technical writers using Adobe RoboHelp and scientists analyzing X-ray absorption with Artemis.
For Adobe RoboHelp users, an .FPJ file acts as a project control file (often XML-based) that manages the structure of a help system. The primary problem here is that the file itself contains only metadata and references; it does not store the actual content (text and images). Consequently, you cannot simply "convert" a lone .FPJ file into a DOCX or PDF without the accompanying folder structure and source assets. To make this content usable outside the software, the project must be compiled or exported to WebHelp, HTML5, or PDF document formats.
Alternatively, in the scientific community, .FPJ files are project archives generated by Artemis (part of the Demeter suite) for XAS data analysis. These may be ZIP-compressed containers holding experimental data and fitting models. Researchers often need to liberate this data from the specialized software to perform plotting or further analysis in standard tools like Microsoft Excel or Origin. Converting these files typically involves extracting the internal data tables to CSV, TXT, or DAT formats.
