About FIRMWARE files
The .firmware file extension is a proprietary system update package used primarily by asMODus for their line of advanced vaping devices and mods. Internally, this file serves as a container for compiled machine code designed to run on Nuvoton microcontrollers (specifically the NuMicro family). Users typically encounter these files when downloading updates to fix bugs or add features (like temperature control modes) to their hardware.
The Problem: Because .firmware files are raw binaries, they are not human-readable. Operating systems generally treat them as unknown objects, and attempting to open them in text editors like Notepad++ results in garbled characters. They are not media files and cannot be converted to standard formats like PDF or JPG.
The Solution:
For Device Owners: You generally do not need to convert this file. Instead, you must load it using the specific asMODus Upgrade Tool designed for your model.
For Developers: If you are reverse-engineering the device, these files can often be treated as raw binary images. You may rename them to BIN to analyze the hex data or disassemble the code structure.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FIRMWARE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert FIRMWARE file to PAC, SYS, DLL, EXE, DRV, VXD, 386, COM, BAT, CMD, SCR or PIF, you can use asMODus Upgrade Tool or similar software from the "Device Firmware Update" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

The FIRMWARE Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FIRMWARE converter.
