About EZB files
The .ezb extension is shared by three distinct formats, creating significant confusion for users trying to open them.
EZ-Robot Project File (25%): Created by EZ-Builder (now often replaced by Synthiam ARC), these are XML-based configuration files used to control DIY robots. They store behavior scripts, camera tracking settings, and voice recognition data. Users often need to convert these to standard XML or text formats to debug scripts or migrate robot behaviors to other platforms like ROS, but the file is optimized strictly for the EZ-Robot ecosystem.
EasyBoot Menu File (16%): A legacy format from EZB Systems used to create custom bootable CDs and DVDs (MultiBoot). These files define the graphical menu layouts and boot logic. They are often found in older archiving projects. The primary conversion need here is compiling them into a standard ISO disk image for use in modern virtual machines (like VirtualBox).
Electronic Bid Package (26%): Often associated with EasyPower or similar bidding software, these are frequently just renamed ZIP archives containing tender documents and spreadsheets. Users get stuck because standard PDF readers won't open them. The pragmatic solution is often to simply rename the extension to ZIP to access the internal PDF and XLSX files.
Convert.Guru analyzes your EZB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert EZB file to ISO, IMG, DMG, VHD, VMDK, VDI, HDD, QCOW, QCOW2, RAW, VBOX or OVA, you can use EZ-Builder or similar software from the "Robot Project Configuration" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert VFD, DMG, OVA, IMA, VBOX, ADF, PVS, VHD, OVF, ISO, DSK or IMG files to EZB, try EZ-Builder or another comparable tool in the "Robot Project Configuration" category.
The EZB Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our EZB converter.
